Activities Carried by Adsum

Since the year 2014 we have given multiple representation to MoEF, CPCB regarding Biodegradable technology

No harm to fertility of soil as it converts conventional plastic in to biomass

We have had 22 meetings till date with Ministry of Environment and 22 meetings with Central pollution control board.

We have also approached NGT (Principle bench) against the ban on plastic suggesting them to have the MoEF look into our proposal to introduce Biodegradable technology instead of banning the use of plastics.

Based on the NGT judgment, MoEF invited us to present the Biodegradable technology to them, upon a few rounds of meeting when MoEF Technical team was convinced, a letter was issued along with the technical back up to CPCB to study the technology. CPCB has till date not been able to revert with any negative comment on the Biodegradable technology.

Till date we have made more than 52 tests various tests at CIPET and other third party laboratories to prove degradation of our product. List of laboratories are as below:-

CIPET (India)

National Toxicology Centre (India)

SGS (Food safety test as per Indian standards)

GEMA Polymer (Turkey)

Bata Pakistan (Pakistan)

PTMB UAE (UAE)

National Chemical Lab (India)

More Activities by us

We have successfully conducted food safety tests on the multilayer Milk pouch film with Biodegradable additive in all the three layers as per FSSAI :- Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (Indian food safety norms IS 9833: 1981 & IS 9845: 1998) from SGS, hence we have certification of food safety in the packaging with Biodegradable technology across all categories of food products.

In the year 2015, we gave a presentation to Indian railways to introduce bags complying to Biodegradable norms to be used in its operations. And since then a lot of railway divisions have been using Biodegradable garbage bags.

The same norms have been replicated by various Government hospitals (AIIMS) and they have also introduced Biodegradable bio-Hazard garbage bags

When there was minimal response from MoEF we did approach various other ministries where the impact of plastic ban could be felt. Below is the list of all Ministries to whom we approached to help us implement Biodegradable technology.

We did approach various Municipalities, state pollution control boards where the use of plastics was completely banned, and Biodegradable plastics was also banned, and in such states / Municipalities we were able to convince them to allow the use of Biodegradable bags above 51 Microns as that does not create any conflict between the rules set by Central government and the state can still help protecting the environment by using Biodegradable without impacting the manufacturers, traders as well as common man using plastic bags. We do not have any counts on meetings, but meetings have been endless in the states where we operate. We approached lot of municipalities but gained success in Municipalities of Calicut, Ganganagar, Kochi, Akola.

In the planning commission when we were invited to present Biodegradable technology, there we did explained the difference between Degradable technology and Biodegradable technology, this is how we were able to mark a difference between the two technologies and hence the false claims of CPCB were exposed.

CPCB has always been promoting Compostable plastic and CPCB did try to confuse the representatives of various ministries by sharing the false news on the internet about Degradable plastics.

We have defended and clarified Biodegradable technology where ever there was a confusion created by CPCB, we have personally given the specific presentation at

Ministry of Petro Chemicals, CPCB, MoEF, PMO (Prime Minister's Office), Planning commission of India.
